Parents are stressed out affecting their mental healthÂ
In August 2024, the US Surgeon General, Dr Vivek Murthy issued a finding that parents consistently report experiencing high levels of stress compared to other adults. Mental health conditions disproportionately affect some parents and caregivers, reflecting broader social determinants of health. With this Advisory, I am calling for a fundamental shift in how we value and prioritize the mental health and well-being of parents.

Every living thing in the universe organizes around identity
A rose doesn't try to be a tulip, but humans are constantly trying to be someone else — competing and comparing themselves to each other and diminishing their own worth — false identities rooted in fear. Joyful connection instead of competition and comparison allows for intrinsic value, innovation and creative collaboration.Â
The Root of Fear and False Identity
Fear is rooted in a false identity—the belief that we are unloved, unworthy, powerless, and alone. Prolonged fear can lead to mental illness and emotional distress with possible physical manifestations.
True identity transforms the soul
If Mental Health is defined as "the capacity of each and all of us to feel, think, and act in ways that enable us to value and engage in life," our solutions must address the needs of the entire soul (mind + will + emotions) to overcome inner turmoil leading to joy, wholeness and resilience.

Our Approach with Identity Method
Neuroscience has proven that our psyche—our mind, will, and emotions—is largely formed in childhood, with fear as a learned response. Early experiences play a pivotal role in shaping our ability to respond to our environment as we grow. Our identity training equips individuals with simple, effective tools to reshape these stored responses, helping to resolve inner conflicts that often lead to anxiety and depression. This process fosters secure attachment, dignity, and a sense of intrinsic value—key components of identity formation. These foundational qualities, established in early years, enable individuals to bring their unique gifts to the world. These resources developed for students will help leaders in other sectors of society process anxiety and conflict and live securely in their identity.Â
